Alice was raised and educated in Philadelphia, where she graduated from Olney High School in the Class of 1949. In the early 1950s, she took a job with Sears and there would meet Robert, who had taken a part-time job with the same company. The two were smitten and soon married on October 3, 1953 in the Hunting Park area of the city. Alice would leave her employment at Sears to begin a family, and in 1955, moved into the Willow Grove area where she and Robert would continue to live for the next 60 years. Alice was a long standing member of the Women’s Junior Monday Club of Fox Chase, a charitable acts organization, and the Willow Grove Bible Church of the Christian and Ministry Alliance, even served for a period on their board of directors. In her free time, she enjoyed needle crafts such as sewing and knitting, and camping. Alice also traveled extensively, taking the family trailer both far and wide to locales such as Alaska and the Midwest. She and Robert also managed to make it to Hawaii for their 30th wedding anniversary.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Willow Grove Bible Church of The Christian and Missionary Alliance, 212 Everett Avenue, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Her graveside service will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
