Dutch loved the woods/outdoors, whether he was firefighting, hunting, fishing or just "because." He was a member of the Klamath Tribes and most proud of his "Paiute" ancestry. When he was younger, he was introduced to boxing by Dean Davis in Bly, Ore. He was a boxer by nature, he achieved a Golden Gloves title and carried boxing with him throughout his life. He was loved by many and will be missed by even more.
Survivors include his "mommy," of Bly; fiancee of Bly; sons, of Klamath Falls, Ore.; brother and sister, both of Chiloquin, Ore.; grandfather of Beatty, Ore.; aunts, uncles, granddaughter of Klamath Falls; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, you know who you are. To be greeted by those who preceded him in death are his father, Lawrence Larry Townsend; only daughter, Karma Lee Townsend (Sept. 12, 2015); grandmother, Shirley Riddle; brothers, Randy Gallagher and Terry Walker; and many more who he missed.
