Alfred married Lillian Mae Bradley on February 6, 1937 in Glenwood, Iowa.

Alfred and Lillian are the parents of six children:

Alfred M. Johnson, 86, of Glenwood died Aug. 10 at home.

He was born in Mills County. He graduated in 1934 from Glenwood High School. He was a farmer. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He enjoyed wintering in Boulder City, Nev., to be near daughter Janice and went to Minnesota in the summer to enjoy the fishing. He dearly loved his family.

Mr. Johnson and his wife, Lillian, were married 66 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Alfred Wayne Johnson; two brothers, Kenneth and Paul Johnson; sister, Wilma Johnson; grandson, Richard Shay; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Blackburn and Tanya Johnson.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, Josie, Warren, Evan, Janice, Carol; brothers, Franklin, Glenn; sister, Clara; sister-in-law, Ruth; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Phyllis, Doris Bradley and Lettie; several nieces; nephews and a host of friends.

The funeral will be Thursday at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
