Susan was a graduate of 1978 graduate of White House High School. She attended MTSU from 1978 through 1981. Susan was lovingly described by her family as a good Christian woman, a person with high morals and a beautiful lady that leaves behind a legacy that will live on in the heart of all who knew and loved her. Susan loved life and had many special talents. To name only a few; she wrote music and played the piano beautifully; she loved to be surrounded by beauty, shown by her talent for decorating and planting flowers in her yard. She had a special love for antique glass and going to yard sales. But, most of all, Susan loved her family, her husband, her three children; five sisters, brother, her seven grandchildren, her best friend, Heidi Stapp and her Pomeranian, Smokey.
Susan is survived by her loving husband, Michael Scott Bingham; children, John Harmon, Jamie Harmon and William (Liz) Harmon; sisters, Patricia “Trish” Jamison, Gloria “Glo” Ross, Sherry “Sis” D`Anna, Stella Mai (Dean) Huffstetler, Rita Rilene (Morris) Duke; brother, Gilbert “Bubba” (Holley) McMurtry; grandchildren, Jackson, Tristan, Kayden, Michael, Jett, Hunter, Michael D.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 24th from the Cole & Garrett Funeral Home Chapel in White House with Allen Riley officiating and eulogy by Will “Mike” Harmon. Place of interment will be Hillcrest Cemetery in White House. Serving as pallbearers, Johnny Bolte, Charles Roach, Andy Nash, Johnny Williams, Kevin Nash, Rickey Swindle. Honorary pallbearers, Kayden Harmon, Erik Harmon, Joshua Harmon.
Visitation Monday, November 23rd from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday 10:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.
