Sue Evelyn Reece Webb, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at her home. A native of Avery County, she was a daughter of the late Elzie and Lucinda Stansbury Reece. She was also preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Webb who passed away in 2012; a daughter, Imogene Cantrell who passed away in 2014 and 7 siblings. Sue was a member of Roaring Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching her humming birds, gardening, canning and cherished and loved her family dearly.
Surviving is her daughters: Teresa Hicks and husband, Garry, of Roaring Creek, Tammy Webb of Roan Mountain, Sharron Hughes and husband, David, of Cranberry, Lisa Trivett and husband, Bill, of Isaacs Branch Road and Becky Buchanan and husband, Joel, also of Roaring Creek; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8th at Roaring Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Nathan Silvers will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church. Private burial will be held on Wednesday in the family Cemetery.
