Browns Summit: Sarah Knight Dixon, 91, went home to be with The Lord on Sunday January 21, 2018 at Heartland Living Rehab.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Monticello United Church of Christ at 11:00 A.M. where she was a longtime member, with Mrs. Alex Valencsin and Rev. Jeremy Troxler officiating.

Mrs. Dixon was born in Rockingham County on February 16, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Hugh Lee Knight and Kate Dallas Knight. Along with her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hunter Dixon, as well as six brothers and three sisters.

Survivors are daughters, Susan and Nancy; nephews, Steve (Sharon) and Wayne (Sandy) Troxler who were like sons to her.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Sarah’s caregivers, Loretha Blackwell, Sally Ezzell and Lisa Ryan in addition to Dr. Thomas Pickard and staff at Browns Summit Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro for their care and support throughout her illness.
