MOULTRIE- Charles David Searcy, Jr., 53, of Moultrie, died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ed Komoroski officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Tom Oliver, Michael Jackson, John Moore, Michael Barnes, David Hancock and Fred Cooper.
Born May 25, 1962 in Moultrie, he was the son of Charles David Searcy, Sr. and Lora Norman Moore. He was a self-employed cabinet maker and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was an avid deer hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Lacy Miner Searcy of Moultrie; two sons, Noah Searcy of Moultrie and Christopher Searcy of Decatur, Ga.; his father, Charles David Searcy, Sr. of Moultrie; his mother and step-father, Lora Norman Moore and husband Charles A. Moore of Moultrie; two brothers, Scott Moore of Moultrie and Kevin Moore and wife Beth of Biloxi, Ms.; a cousin, Ellie Joray of Jacksonville, Fla.; his best friend, Tom Oliver; and other family members.
