Barbara A. “Barb” Wegner, age 56, of Plymouth, WI passed away early Saturday morning (Dec. 5, 2015) due to a Vehicle/Pedestrian accident on Hwy 23.

Barb was born on February 9, 1959 in Port Washington, WI a daughter of the late Frederick and Angeline (Lanser) Jacoby.

She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1977.

On November 10, 1979 she married Randy Wegner at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. The couple has resided in the Plymouth area since their marriage.

Barb worked at Gilson Brothers Company in Plymouth for over 15 years and Sargento Cheese Company in Plymouth for several years and was currently employed at the Plymouth High School where she was an administrative assistance in the District Office for the last 20 years.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic church in Plymouth and volunteered for many organizations in the Church. Barb enjoyed spending time with her loving family, going to Church, walking on a daily basis, playing Dr. Mario, gambling and visiting her children as much as she could.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 36 years: Randy of Plymouth; Two Children who loved and cherished her: Lyndsey Wegner of Los Angeles, CA and Robert Wegner of Madison, WI; Two sisters and one brother: Linda (David) Opitz of Plymouth, Michael (Nancy) Jacoby of Sheboygan Falls and Mary (Kirk) Wittkopp of Fond du Lac; Eight nieces and nephews: Sean (Amanda) Opitz of Japan, Scott (Yadira) Opitz of San Antonio, TX, Katie (Larry) Schamberger of Plymouth, Todd Jacoby of Sheboygan, Brian (Elizabeth) Jacoby of Green Bay, Tyler Wittkopp of California, Matthew (Rebecca) Wittkopp of Connecticut, and Nicole Wittkopp of Fond du Lac; Father-in-law: Edward Wegner of Plymouth.

Also survived by many great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by parents, her Mother-in-law: Isabel Wegner and Sister-in-law: Nadene Wegner.

A memorial funeral Mass will be held on Friday Evening (Dec. 11, 2015) at 6:30 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dan Volkert and Father Dennis Van Beek will co-officiate.

Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in St. Mary’s of the Lake Cemetery in Lake Church.

Visitation will be held on Friday (Dec. 11) at the CHURCH from 3:30 P.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Barb’s name.
