Mr. Melvin Conley Griffin, 83, of New Carrollton, MD. died, Tuesday at his son's home.
Mr. Griffin, born in Falling Waters, WV; was the son of the late William Edward and Kathleen Hoover Griffin. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Mike Griffin. and an infant brother.
He was a retired police officer from Washington, DC. and Past Master of Osiris Lodge #26 F&AM of District of Columbia.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Margaret Bomgarnder Griffin, six sons, Kenneth David, Stephen John, Keith Edward, Sean Conley, Douglas and Melvin C. Griffin, Jr.; eleven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, one brother, Clyde Eugene Griffin; and one sister, Betty L. Cahill.
The family received friends one hour prior services at the funeral home.
The funeral services were held at 2 pm, Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev, Charles W. Henry officiating.
Burial was made with Military Honors in Harmony Cemetery, Marlowe, WV.
