Mr. John Franklin Tolleson, age 82, of Carrollton, GA, passed away December 6, 2015.
He was born January 1, 1933 to the late Lemuel Arthur, Sr. and Lula Vaughn Tolleson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters: Ruth Sprayberry, Grace Lockhart, Mary Duncan and June Mozley; two brothers: L. A. Tolleson, Jr. and Earl Tolleson and a grandson: Blake Lawrence Tolleson.
Mr. Tolleson was a family man. He and his wife were married 64 years this past November 23rd. He loved his country and was very proud of his service in the United States Navy. He was the Market Manager at Kroger, worked on cars, especially his 64 Mustang, was a hunter, played the piano by ear and loved his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Martha Key Tolleson of Carrollton; two daughters and a son-in-law; two sons and daughters-in-law; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister.
Funeral services for Mr. Tolleson will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Chaplain Sam Braswell officiating. Granddaughters, Sonya and Danielle, will be giving the euology.
Pallbearers serving will be members of the Haralson County Veterans Association.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday between the hours of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.
