The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced U.S. Army Corporal Norvin D. Brockett, killed during the Korean War, was accounted for on Aug. 5, 2019.
In late 1950, Brockett was a Field Artillery Cannoneer assigned to Company A, 57th Field Artillery Battalion, 7th Infantry Division, 31st Regimental Combat Team. He was declared missing in action on Dec. 6, 1950, when enemy forces attacked his unit near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea (the Battle of Chosin Reservoir). His remains could not be recovered following the attack.
His remains were finally identified and he was buried in Arlington National Cemetery, found here.
