Obit: Wilma K. Beard, 79, formerly of 951 Walsh Ave., Frankfort, Indiana, died at 10:30 a.m. August 6, 2005, in Parkwood Health Care Center, Lebanon, Indiana.
Mrs. Beard owned and operated Wilma's Beauty Shop in Frankfort for 20 years. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1943 and attended Manson Congregational Christian Church and Woodside Christian Church.
She was born August 14, 1925, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Arthur J. and Nora Hackerd Watts. She married Icle B. Beard in Frankfort, Indiana on January 29, 1945, and he preceded her in death on October 26, 1996.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel A. (Cynthia) Beard of Mechanicsburg, Indiana and Steven L. (Cheryl) Beard of Thorntown, Indiana; two grandsons, James and Eric Beard; one granddaughter, Vanessa Beard McKinney; and three great-grandchildren, Calvin and Jacob McKinney and Alexis Beard.
A son preceded her in death.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at Goodwin Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort, Indiana.
