John Marvin Helton, III, 45, of Alpharetta, GA died on November 30, 2015. Born in Biloxi, MS he was the son of John Marvin Helton, Jr. and Sandra Wilkins Helton of Jasper, GA.

In addition to his parents, John is survived by his wife, Sheila Strausser Helton and children, Julia and Hutchinson of Alpharetta, GA; sister, Jennifer (Chad) King of Jasper, GA; brother, Jeff Helton of Asheville, NC; and niece and nephew, Mariclaire and Connor King.

John graduated from Florida State University in 1992 and was a Proud Seminole. He loved his country and was a staunch conservative. John was an active member and volunteer at North Point Community Church. He was a loving son, husband and father who will be greatly missed by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 4, 2015 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 3 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, just don’t vote for Hillary Clinton.
