Krystal M. Brown of Bellingham, a high school student, died Monday after being stricken at the YMCA pool in Franklin. She was 16.
Born in Brighton, Miss Brown was a Bellingham resident for nine years.
At the time of her death, she was attending Bellingham Memorial High School as a junior and was a member of the Bellingham High School Chorus. She was also a communicant of St. Brendan's Church in Bellingham and a member of its youth group.
Miss Brown is survived by her father, Andrew of Springvale, Maine; her mother, Patricia M. (Costa) of Braintree; her step-mother, Linda A. (Morani) of Springvale, Maine; a sister, Trista L. of Bellingham; four brothers, Andrew F. Jr. of Chelsea, Scott M. of Springvale, Maine, Patrick J. of Bellingham and Jaime W. Pelosi of Haverhill; a maternal grandfather, Francis A. Costa of Melrose; paternal grandparents, John F. and Alice M. (Bates) of Chelsea; and guardians, Agnes D. Duva and Diane White-Pelosi, both of Bellingham.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Brendan's Church.
Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
