Mr. Neal was born September 8, 1931 in San Augustine County, Texas to the late Jesse H. and Mae (Waller) Neal, and died Saturday, December 5, 2015 in Lufkin.
Mr. Neal resided in Angelina County most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and retired from Champion Paper Mill in 1993 following 37 years of employment. Mr. Neal attended Lufkin First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Lynn Neal; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald V. and Kathy Neal; sister and brother-in-law, Gracie Mae and David Stone; sisters-in-law, LaWanna Gainer and Charlotte Nowels; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harlan Neal, Lee Roy Neal, Rolan Neal and Medford Earl Neal; and sister, Bonnie Sue Smith.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Neal’s nephews.
