Marshall L. Needler, 88, a longtime Anderson resident, died Dec. 4, 2015, at Westminster Village in Muncie, following an extended illness.

He was born on Sept. 26, 1927, in Anderson, the son of Sylvester and Bertha (Bricker) Needler. He served in the U.S. Navy and was employed as a postal worker, retiring in October of 1982. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Anderson and enjoyed fishing, traveling and bowling.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Belle (Belangee) Needler, whom he married on June 2, 1956; a daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Paul Dennis of Muncie; two grandchildren Dusty (wife, Erica) Dennis and Bryan Dennis; two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Dylan Gilpin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, officiated by Pastors Donna Goins and William Mathys. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from noon until the hour of the service.

Memorial contributions may be given to First United Methodist Church of Anderson.
