Douglas Lee Hartman, Sr. passed away on September 20, 2016, at home after a brief illness. He has joined his beloved wife, Jeanine of 67 years in our heavenly Father's arms.

Born May 30, 1930 in Staunton, VA, Douglas was a long-time resident of Valparaiso, FL.

Douglas served in the US. Army for 23 years as a medic/PA and was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After his military retirement he worked as a PA and hospital administrator for U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons until retirement.

He is survived by his three children - Chris and his wife Millie of Bruce, Fl, his daughter Patricia Reynolds of Valparaiso, Fl and his son Greg and his wife Rhonda of Chesapeake, Va. He has five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all residing in Virginia.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to either Shriner's Children Hospital or Emerald Coast Hospice.
