He as a planner mill supervisor, dedicating the last 15 years of his life to Suwannee Lumber. Prior to that he worked for 18 years with Georgia Pacific. He also worked as a cattleman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spendig time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Cannon was member of the Cross City Church of Christ.
He is survived by h is wife of 32 years, Mashelle Cannon of Cross City, son, Patrick Sean Cannon of Cross City; daughter Amber Mashelle Cannon of Cross City; grandchildren, McKenzi Devries, Daniel Devries and Karlee Nicole Cannon; mother Catherine Cannon of Cross City; brothers Jeff Cannon and Charles Cannon, both of Cross City and sister Lisa Waters of Old Town; nephews Dylan Cannon, Caleb Cannon, and Judson Dey, all of Cross City; nieces Jessica Dyals and Raegen Waters, Old Town. He was preceeded in death by his brother, Dickey Cannon.
