Mark Stephen Cole, 64, of Edina, MN, formerly of Dubuque, passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015, at Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, after an 8-year battle with brain cancer.
Per Mark's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be a Celebration of Mark's life held on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 from 12:00-3:00 PM at Town Hall Brewery, 1430 S. Washington Ave, Minneapolis, MN. Private Interment will be in Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque, IA.
Mark was born January 17th, 1951, in Dubuque, son of Raymond and Betty Jane, "B.J." (Mueller) Cole.
He graduated from Wahlert High School in 1969, attended Loras College in Dubuque and later graduated from the University of Iowa. He received his MBA from The University of St. Thomas in 1993.
Mark began his career at John Deere in Dubuque, relocating to Minneapolis in 1984. Mark's 30-year Minnesota career included time at FSI, Cray Research, and Entegris. While employed by Entegris, Mark enjoyed a 5-year residence in Paris, France, as Director of European Marketing. It was a time he cherished all of his life. He was truly a "Citizen of the World" and made many lifelong friends around the globe, who share in the loss of this remarkably talented, kind man.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his step-father, William Bott; a baby sister, Mary Beth; and his maternal and fraternal grandparents.
