After graduating from Wilson High School in Henryetta, she furthered her education at Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas, graduating in 1961 with a Commercial Degree. She followed the Sun west and traveled to Los Angeles. There, she met and married fellow Oklahoman, Johnny Holcomb in 1961. Together, they made Southern California their home for the next 54 years. Wanda was proud member of the Creek Nation. Wanda dedicated her life to being a caring wife and devoted mother.
Wanda is preceded in passing by her parents, Wilson and Mahala Chalakee, her brother, Woodrow and sisters, Nancy and Rita.
Wanda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Johnny Holcomb and mother to two sons, Larry Allen Holcomb and Kevin Mark Holcomb, her sisters, Betsy Harjo and Linda Thornburg, her brothers, Johnny Chalakee, Robert Chalakee and Jimsey Chalakee, as well as numerous other family and friends.
