Joshua G. Hames
GAFFNEY--Joshua Gilbert Hames, 87, of Peachtree Center, died April 15, 1990 in Upstate Carolina Medical Center after an extended illness.
A native of Cherokee County, he was the husband of Lillie Mae Gault Hames and son of the late Gilbert and Bernice Bailey Hames. He was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and was a retired farmer.
Also surviving are a daughter, Doris Allison of Gaffney; a son, Darwin Hames of Gaffney; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. tomorrow in Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Richard Harrison.
The body will be in the church at 3 p.m. tomorrow.
The family is at the home of a granddaughter, Kim Hames, Timken Road, Gaffney.
