They were preceded in death by their parents and their dearly loved son-in-law, Dawson Johnson. Marvin and Janet are survived by their daughters, Wanda Ruth Hodges of Redhill, Texas, Sandra Johnson of Redwater, Texas, son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jennifer Hodges of Jacksonville, Arkansas, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Mama and Daddy were Christians in both word and deeds. They were faithful to the Lord. They served the community for over ten years in Calvary Baptist's of Simms food pantry ministry, and Daddy as a Sunday School teacher.
We are thankful as we hold onto the memories you made for us. You lived life to the fullest and showed us what true love is by your commitment to your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; your house was always our home. Mama, your voice will always echo in your home, and in our hearts, hearing you sing tenderly, "Jesus loves me" to all your children. Daddy, you always lovingly called Mama your Bride, and you are present before the Lord, together. As ones who trust in Jesus as our Savior, we will see you, again.
Service will be Tuesday, December 8, 2015, 1:00 PM, at Calvary Baptist of Simms, Texas, with Pastor Aaron Crawford officiating. Mama and Daddy will be laid to rest in Bethlehem Cemetery, Redhill, Texas.
