Born May 7, 1919, in Ethan, S.D., to William and Oneida Hendricks Adams, he married Emma Irene Stengle on May 22, 1939, in Yankton, S.D. She died Aug. 17, 1986.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are three sons, James and Harold (and Mary), both of Peoria, and Richard (and Alice) of Baltimore; two daughters, Marilyn (and Tom) Plunk of the state of Tennessee and Carol (and the Rev. James) McPhail of Visalia, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He worked at Gateway Milling Co. in Peoria, retiring in 1984.
He was a former member of First United Pentecostal Church in Peoria.
Cremation has been accorded. Graveside services will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Cascade Funeral Home in Cle Elum, Wash.
