Gerald Edwin Pearson, 93, of Fort Gratiot, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015. He was born May 17, 1922 in Snover to the late Alfred and Susan Pearson. He married Theola Sparling Inch on January 19, 1962 in Winchester, Virginia.

Mr. Pearson was a building contractor and master craftsman with wood who enjoyed building homes, cabinetry and many other wood crafts. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He enjoyed working on old cars and fishing with his brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Theola; six children, Ronald Pearson, Danny Pearson, Randy Pearson, Marilyn Stapleford, Gordon (Maureen) Inch and Robert (Rebecca) Inch; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Weyman Stapleford; and nine brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Stapleford will officiate. Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Paul Pearson, Robert, Michael, Matthew and Robert W. Stapleford and Tim Hornbostel.
