Rose Margarita Hernandez, known to all her friends and family as "Rosie", passed away on December 1, 2015. Born on December 9, 1929, Rosie was the eldest of four children born to Anastacio "Albert" and Maria Hernandez, longtime residents of Yuma Valley. Rosie attended grade school at Rood Elementary School in the Crane School District. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Frances and leaves behind a sister Amelia (Edward "Sonny") Baker of Yuma and a brother Andy (Linda) Hernandez of Tucson.

She also leaves behind 4 nephews; Ron and Henry Baker, Sam and Mark Hernandez, grandnephews Jonathon Baker and Cory Hernandez and grandniece Brianna Hernandez and great grandnephew Aiden Hernandez.

She retired from the Crane School District as a cafeteria manager after 39 years of service. She was well known and loved by the many students, faculty and administrators that knew her.

Services will held at Johnson Mortuary with a Viewing on Monday December 7 from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00. Services will be on December 8 starting at 10:00 a.m. with internment following the service.
