She was born February 22, 1959 in Russellville, AR and is the daughter of Imojene Easter May and the late Sammy May of Dardanelle, AR. She was a retired cashier at Harrah's Casino in Nevada arid a member of the Faith Church in Dardanelle. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Dale May.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Askren of Dardanelle, AR; a son, Bruce Thompson of Dardanelle; two daughters, Felisha Thompson and LaTosha Thompson both of Russellville; her mother, Imojene May of Dardanelle; two brothers, Doug
May of Dardanelle and Allen Chesney of Atkins; two sisters, Anita Roach of Virginia Beach, VA and Teresa Simmons of Atkins and two grandchildren, Jasmine and Joslyn Thompson of Russellville.
Service was June 29, 1998 at the Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with the Rev. David Jay officiating. Interment was in the Phoenix Cemetery in Buck Mountain, AR by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle, AR.
