Milton, Oct. 9--Thomas Leo Hayes, 54, died today at his home in Milton after a long illness. Mr. Hayes was a veteran of World War I in which he served in the U.S. Navy. Besides his wife, the former Mildred Lane, he is survived by four daughters, the Misses Marion, Jennie, June and Sylvia, all of Milton; two sons, Thomas and Norman, both of Milton; one sister, Mrs. Leo O'Brien of South Burlington; three brothers, John of Fort Harrison, Mont., Lawrence of San Pedro, Calif., and James of Schenectady, N.Y.; also several nieces and nephews. The body will remain at his late home in Milton until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Anne's Church, Milton. Interment will follow in St. Anne's Cemetery. The James P. Dower Funeral Home of Burlington in charge of arrangements.
