A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home in Arkansas City. Inurnment will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery in South Haven. The family will receive friends Friday, December 4, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lawrence was born May 15, 1924 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Wesley and Lena Case. July 30th 1950 he married Arlene Johnson in Arkansas City, Kansas. Lawrence was in the navy during World War II serving aboard aircraft USS Sitak Bay and the Korean War serving aboard destroyer USS Hickcox . Lawrence graduated from college at University of Wichita in 1954. Lawrence was employed by Sear Roebuck and retired in 1985 after 30 years of service. Lawrence loved gardening, the beach, card games, family gatherings and telling jokes.
He is survived by wife Arlene Case 65 years of marriage and two sons David Case and spouse Fran, Mark Case and spouse Tatyana, two daughters Jeanne Marea Case, Carol Anne Beattie and spouse Michael. Eight grandchildren and seven (plus one in the oven) great grandchildren.
Lawrence was preceded in death by a infant son Lawrence Otis Case, parents Wesley and Lena Case, sister Caroline Pike, brothers Melvin Case, Gene Case and Robert Case.
