Axel Walter Petersen, age 92, passed away February 11, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born August 10, 1902 in Aalborg, Denmark, the son of Frederick Valdemar and Anne Thomine Hansen Petersen. Married Eva L. Truscott on August 13, 1923; later divorced. Married Elsie I. Simmons on April 23, 1953; she died in 1958.Member of the LDS Church. Reared in Manti, Utah. Served in the U.S. Army subsequent to World War I. Dry cleaner by profession.

Survived by one son, Robert D. Petersen and wife Joye (Bountiful); one daughter, Janet L. Parker (Sandy); four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Christine; brothers, Aage, Evan, Lewis, Rex, and Stan; and one grandson, Glenn.

Brief services on Wednesday, February 15, at 11 a.m., Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Tuesday evening, 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City.
