Sgt. Matthew J. Vosbein of Metairie, Louisiana was on his second tour of duty in Iraq after re-enlisting in the army, and was anxious to get back home to his wife and two small boys. He served as an example not only for his children, but for three brothers who also had made the choice to serve their country. With one brother in the army, one brother in the Marine Corps and a father with a military background, Matt Lingle grew up with patriotism and pride. Following in his big brother's footsteps, Matt's brother Jeremy Lingle, a Frankfort Community High School senior, recently enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Matt also deeply loved his youngest brother, Lucas who also resides in West Frankfort. Most of his immediate family resides in New Orleans with the exception of his mother, Anna, who resides in West Frankfort, and a set of grandparents, who are also local residents. He was 30.
