Beverly Bane Snyder Gregory, 97, of Roanoke, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at The Berkshires Health and Rehabilitation Center in Vinton. She was born in Shenandoah on December 30, 1917 the daughter of Thelma Bowman Snyder and Miles E. Snyder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Liniel Godfrey Gregory, Sr., whom she married November 14, 1935.She is survived by her son, Liniel G. "Linnie" Gregory, Jr., and, wife, Helen Madine Gregory; grandchildren, Lee Anne Wade, Lynne Ellen Ferris, Liniel G. "Trey" Gregory, III, Robert Neal Gregory, Vivien Gean McMahan; 16 great and seven great- great grandchildren and special friend, June B. Gregory, and a host of nieces and nephews. Beverly was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Roanoke, Va. and during her lifetime she was involved in church, volunteering in charity work at The Rescue Mission. She was a wonderful wife to the love of her life, Liniel, a homemaker, dedicated to raising her son, Linnie, and entertaining him and all of his classmates and friends at their home along with Liniel. Beverly touched many lives with her understanding, love and caring ways about people and she will be missed by all.In lieu of flowers, gifts to the Rescue Mission or Meals on Wheels would please her. Family Choice Funerals & Cremations of Roanoke is handling arrangements and the family will meet around 1 p.m. and a service will be conducted by Pastor Kenneth P. Lane, Jr. at the Abby Chapel at Sherwood Memorial Park at Salem, VA at 2 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2015 and burial will follow the service at Sherwood.
