died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Gilbert, Arizona at the age of 79. Samuel was born on June 17, 1936 in San Pedro, California .He served in the Navy from 1955-1958 in active duty and then was on the Reserves until 1963. He became a Deputy Sheriff in Maricopa County Sherriff's Office in 1963. He retired after 21 years of dedicated service as a Sergeant in 1984. Sam will be laid to rest on December 4th at 1:30pm at the United States National Cemetery located in the city of Phoenix in Maricopa County, Arizona. A memorial service is scheduled for 10am on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Church of Latter Day Saints located: at 11121 E. Ray Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212. ARIZONA REPUBLIC 3 DEC 2015
