"Morgan C. Wheeler, age 59, of 342 W. Hathaway Dr., died Saturday at his home. He was a member of Northwood Presbyterian Church, Victory Lodge #1160 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, and Alzalor Shrine. He was a teacher and former Director of Personnel and Administrator in San Antonio School District since 1954. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Tessye Wheeler: brothers, Elmo Wheeler, Poteet, Tex., Roger Wheeler, Carrizo Springs, Tex. Service Monday at 4 o'clock at Northwood Presbyterian Church, Dr. Robert Bullock officiating. The body will be taken to Yoakum for graveside service Tuesday at 10 o'clock interment in Pilot Grove Cemetery. Arrangements with Porter Loring, McCullough at Elmira."
Morgan was the son of Alonzo Carroll Wheeler and Elmina Francine (Stiggins) Wheeler. Morgan's parents are buried in the Anchorage Cemetery near Poteet in Atascosa County, Texas.
Morgan married Tessye Raye Van Dyke on 18 May 1941 in Yoakum. They had no children.
