Funeral services for George “West” Kendrick will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2015 in the G.A. Mangun Center of Alexandria with Reverend Terry Shock officiating.

A private committal service will be held in the Forest Lawn Cemetery of Pineville under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Alexandria.

“West”, 36, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 30, 2015 in the Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria. He was born December 11, 1978 in Alexandria to Stephen Wayne Kendrick and Melanie (Fletcher) Burnes. He was a Pentecostal by faith. He was a 1997 graduate of Crowley High School in Crowley, Texas. He was a heavy equipment technician and operator. He loved music, poetry, NASCAR Fan “Kyle Bush”, reading, dirt biking, and traveling. He loved his family and his dear cousins. “West” was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his mother, Melaine (Fletcher) Burnes of Alexandria; his father, Stephen (Tina) Kendrick of New Castle, Delaware; his sister, Stephani (Michael) Thompson of Alexandria; his nephew, Miles Thompson of Alexandria; maternal grandmother, Maxine Fletcher of Alexandria; paternal grandmother, Shirley Kendrick of Alexandria; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Crawford Fletcher; and his paternal grandfather, Floyd Knight Kendrick Sr..

Pallbearers to serve will be David Dafour, Blake Fletcher, Andrea Price, Reese Fletcher, Brenton DeJean, and Dustin Long. Honorary pallbearer to serve will be Tony Richey.

Visitation will be held in the G.A. Mangun Center on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m.
