Darrell Elmer Shelley 73 of Mount Pleasant, UT passed away December 1, 2015 at his home after a year long battle with cancer.
He was born July 20, 1942 in Mount Pleasant, UT to Elmer J and Rega Clark Shelley.
Darrell served his country in the US Army and Utah National Guard. Serving in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
He married Kathleen Fowles on January 4, 1968 in Caliente, NV and later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on April 7, 1973.
Darrell loved the mountains and enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing with his family. His love was his grandkids and enjoyed spending time with them and his children. Darrell was admired by many for his honesty, generosity, integrity and good humored teasing. He was a wonderful loving husband, father and grandfather.

Cottam, St. George, UT; siblings, Veone (Limhi) Ontiveros, Salt Lake City, UT; William (Kathy) Shelley, Mount Pleasant, UT; Linda (John) Davis, St. George, UT; Pat (Dave) Bills, Salt Lake City, UT; Susan (Phil) Allred, Fountain Green, UT; Colleen (Kit) Robison, Salt Lake City, UT; Doug (Julie) Shelley, Mount Pleasant, UT; Leslie (Gary) Arnoldson, Mount Pleasant, UT; Sara Johansen, Tooele, UT; 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services Saturday December 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mount Pleasant North Stake Center.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. both at the Mount Pleasant North Stake Center.
Interment in the Mount Pleasant City Cemetery.
