MR. SIDNEY FAIL

Mr. Sidney Fail, 83, husband of Delores Creech McDonald Fail, died March 13 in the Aiken Regional Hospital.
He was born on April 7, 1923 to the late Ossie and Lula Fail. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a member of the Barnwell Gideon Camp and started the Prison Ministry at the Allendale Correctional Institute where he served for 18 years. He was a Sunday School Director at Friendship Baptist Church, former Deacon of Bethel Baptist Church, and he was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Surviving, in addition of his wife, are one daughter, Becky (Ernie) Williams of Fairfax; one grandson, Addison Williams; one granddaughter, Gretchen (Don) Blakeney; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Sidney Williams; one brother, O'Neal Fail; sister, Louise Johns; and three half sisters. He was predeceased by Ina K. Fail, wife.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with burial at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The casket will lie in state at the church at 10 a.m. Services will be conducted by Rev. Jerry Fail and Rev. Jule Young.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Active and Honorary Pallbearers will be Gideons from the Hampton and Barnwell Camps.
The family will be at the home of Mr. Fail at 189 Leaning Pine Road, Ulmer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 86, Williston, S.C. 29853.
