Mass of Christian burial for Ruby Maurine Jennings, 77, Lawrence, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Jennings died Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at the Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.
She was born Aug. 9, 1929, in Horton, the daughter of Thomas and Violet Winchester Bechtold. She graduated from Lawrence Liberty Memorial High School in 1947.
Mrs. Jennings worked as a bookkeeper at Weaver's Department Store and in the family floor-covering business for nearly 40 years. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
She married Kenneth "Bud" Jennings on Nov. 8, 1949, in Lawrence. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Tom and Jerry Jennings, both of Lawrence; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, where a Parish Rosary will be at 7 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the Parkinson Disease Foundation, Heart of America Hospice or to the church, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
