He was married to Barbara Streicher. Jacob Erb has the middle names Schwartzentruber and Gardiner. His mother was Susanna Schwartzentruber. When she died, his father John Schwartzentruber (S.) Erb married, Jacobina Gardiner. The G in his name represents his step-mother Jacobina Gardiner. Menno G. Erb was the son of John Schwartzentruber and Jacobina Gardiner and therefore he has G as his middle initial.

She married Karl Theodore Kischel, a farmer, 27 years, bachelor, born in Baden, Wilmot Township, Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada on the 25 January 1929. Karl was a resident of P. O. Hespeler, Ontario, Canada and he was by religious denomination, Lutheran. Anna's parents on the marriage record were stated as Jacob Erb and Harriet Scott. Karl's parents were stated as Theodore Kischel and Auguste Pschellusch (Piellusch). They were married by Rev. Dr. H. A. Sperling at 49 Queen Street N., Kitchener, Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada. Rev. Dr. H. A. Sperling was a Lutheran Minister. The birthplace of Karl's father, Theodore, was stated as Germany. Anna's father, Jacob Erb, was born in Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada. Resting at the Mott Funeral Home, Waterford, Funeral service to be held Friday, June 28 at 2 p.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. W9799"

Her name has always been referred to as ANNA except on the 1911 Census. Perhaps her adopted parents gave her the name NANCY therefore on the memorial, Nancy Anna has been used.
