Delores Juanita "Grandma Red" Vaughn age 73, of Richmond, passed away at Reid Health on November 30, 2015. She was born on January 14, 1942, to Wilbur and Mildred (Summan) Lutz, in Eaton, Ohio.
Delores was a longtime resident of Wayne County. She had worked in different factories until their closing before going to Golden Rule Nursing Home; where she worked in dietary for 18 years. Delores was a member of the Deaf Club. She loved playing Bingo, her four-legged friends and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Delores loved life. She especially loved her husband, Jimmy Vaughn; they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband: Jimmy Vaughn; four children: Ron (Lori) Vaughn, Ted Vaughn, Patty (David Isaacs) Vaughn, and Steven (April) Vaughn; thirteen grandchildren: Ryan (Valerie) Vaughn, Kami (Mikey Mayberry) Vaughn, Tyler (Kayla) Vaughn, Jordan (Shawna) Vaughn, Austin Vaughn, Eric Vaughn, Don Akemon, Brittanee (Justin Plunkett) Akemon, Danielle (Devin Crass) Hahn, Jessica Vaughn, Shyanne Vaughn, Mason Vaughn, Jacob Vaughn; eleven great grandchildren; one brother: Glen (Lily) Lutz; two sisters: Shirley Karns and Sandra (Ernie) Cravens; brother-in-law: Dale Lanthrop; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Dale Lutz, James Lutz and Harry Lutz; and one sister: Alberta Lanthrop.
Funeral services for Delores will be held Friday, December 4, 2015, 2:30 PM, at Community Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Elbert Sorrell officiating.
