Angela Denise Geouge, age 58, of the Pleasant Gap Community, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 1st, 2015 at the Mitchell House. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of Douglas and Ellen Geouge of Pleasant Gap. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Tremaine Geouge who passed away in 2014 and grandparents: Wyatt and Viola Hoilman and Jonathan and Vergie Geouge. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. Angela was an avid indoor and outdoor gardener who loved reading her Bible and spending time with her son and grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her parents is a son, Trenton Geouge and wife, Tammy, of Bakersville; sister, Audrey Cannon and husband, Stacey, of Micaville; two brothers: Chris Geouge and significant other, Sarah Parker, of Micaville and Kevin Geouge of Green Mountain; grandchildren: Saraphina Nevaeh, Ashley and Erica; great-granddaughter, Ava and a special nephew, John Cannon of Asheville.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 4th in Morning Star Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Mitchell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church and at other times will be at the home of Jennie Pitman at 57 Baccus Siding Road in Green Mountain. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the Mitchell House for the wonderful care given to Angela. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
