Betty Jean Atkinson passed away on November 30, 2015 in Spokane, WA. She was born on August 29, 1936 in Pasco, WA. She was raised in Valley, WA where she graduated from Valley High School. She worked for Old National Bank in Spokane.

Betty loved traveling with her husband Glenn and family to the Oregon coast, Hawaii, and spending time at Waitts Lake. She was diagnosed with MS in her teens. Betty always had a smile on her face and a very positive attitude about life. She never had children but made family the center of her life. She will be truly missed by all her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Dorothy Carnes and her husband of 58 years Glenn Atkinson, whom she loved very dearly.

She is survived by her sister Shirley Hesseltine, brother Earl LeRoy Carnes (JoAnn) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, 211 North Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224 on Thursday, December 3, at 1:00pm.
