Larry R. Gardner, 74, and Janice M. Gardner, 75, of Waterville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly in an auto accident on Sunday November 29, 2015. Larry was born in Saginaw, Michigan to James and Alice (House) Gardner. Janice was born in Grand Rapids, Ohio to Roy and Marie (Winters) Johnston. They were married on November 25, 1967 and shared 48 wonderful years of marriage together. Larry worked as a computer programmer with Lear/United Technologies retiring in 2002. Janice was a special education aide and Majorette advisor for Anthony Wayne Schools from 1988-2002. Larry and Janice were low-key in nature but extremely supportive and cherished members in the Anthony Wayne Community. Beyond that they were able to touch the lives of the numerous people they encountered during their lives. They enjoyed fishing and camping but their greatest passion was spending time with their grandchildren. They are survived by two sons Scott (Susan) Gardner of Parkland, Florida and Mike (Jamie) Gardner of Mattawan, Michigan, three grandchildren Gregory, Zachary and Lucas and several nieces and nephews. They are also survived by Larry's brother Duane Gardner of Saginaw, Michigan, Janice's Sister Mary Beroske of Swanton, Ohio and Janice's brother Dick (Shirley) Johnston of Maumee, Ohio. They were both preceded in death by their parents. Visitation will be held Friday December 4, 2015 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Road Waterville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held Saturday December 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 22 North 2nd Street Waterville, Ohio. There will be additional visitation Saturday beginning at 10:00am at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Grand Rapids, Ohio. Memorial Contributions may be given in their honor to The Victory Center, 5532 West Central Ave, Toledo, OH 43615 or to Waterville Boy Scout Troop #101.
