BUCYRUS: Viola M. Scott, 93, of Brooksville, Florida, passed away on November 25, 2015. She was born November 6, 1922, in Fulton County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Kuhn) Stites. While working in Morenci, Michigan, she met Alvin E. Scott and they were married on March 25, 1950. Alvin preceded her in death December 28, 1981 shortly after retiring in South Carolina.

Viola helped Alvin on the family farm where she cared for her family as a homemaker and hosted many memorable card games. She was a founding board member of Fairway-Waycraft and drove bus for the school and workshop. After moving the South Carolina, and later Florida, she continued to care for daughter Sharon.

She is survived by two children, Sharon Roth and Sandra Nicholson, and one grandson, Michael Nicholson, all of Brooksville. In addition to her parents and husband of 31 years, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Richard James, three brothers, five sisters, and one grandson, Scott Nicholson.

Friends may call on Friday, December 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren St., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820 where her funeral will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm. She will then be laid to rest in Brokensword Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be given to Heron Pointe Health and Rehabilitation, 1445 Howell Ave, Brooksville, FL 34601, or to HPH Hospice, 698 South Broad St., Brooksville, FL 34601.
