Wilson Evans, a Kendall Count pioneer, one of the best known men in that county, died Monday morning (May 27, 1907) at his home in Plano, of heart trouble, after a three week's illness.

The deceased was one of the oldest residents of Kendall County, having lived there seventy two years. He was born in Ohio in 1831, and when four years of age came to Kendall County with his father and the Hollenback family. All settled near Millbrook.

Wilson Evans, when of age, engaged in farming near the old homestead at Millbrook and worked the farm until ten years ago, when he retired and moved to Plano.

He is survived by a widow (Mrs. Nellie Neilson Schultz Evans) and one daughter, Mrs. O. H. Osmond of Newark. The funeral was held Wednesday at 12:30 o'clock from the Baptist Church of Plano. Interment was at Newark.
