Joyce Ellen Johnson (Sargent), 71 of Broken Bow, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 in Idabel.
She was born September 18, 1939, in Broken Bow, to parents William Edward and Donnie Bell (Clouse) Johnson.
Joyce loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and family. She enjoyed floral arranging, swimming, sewing and dancing. Joyce worked for S.O.S. for families for three years and in the floral industry for most of her life. She was affiliated with the Baptist faith.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William E. Johnson, Jr.
Joyce is survived by two daughters, Jana Smith and her husband Michael of Holly Creek, OK, and Sonya Sargent of Idabel, OK; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bradley Ray Sargent of Texarkana, TX, Joe Eddie and Celia Sargent of Idabel and James H. and Jennifer Sargent of Broken Bow, OK;
A sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Royce Harvey of Seagraves, TX; twelve grandchildren, including a special grandchild, Joel Sargent of the home; ten great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Watkins officiating. A private interment will follow in the Broken Bow Cemetery.
