COURIER-JOURNAL OBITUARY - Steve Wayne Barnett, 65, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015. Steve was catholic by faith and worked as a technical coordinator for United Hospital Services, he had been a police officer with the Jefferson County Police Department and the Bowling Green Police Department, and was a Sigma Chi at Western Kentucky University and had been a member of the Masonic order. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary E. and James Barnett. Steve is survived by his wife of 45 years, Vicki (Shaw) Barnett; two children, Steven W. Barnett II (Erin), Nicole B. Larison (Jeff); brother, James D. Barnett (Kathy); two sisters, Diane L. Miller (James) and Tammy Blackwell; eight grandchildren. Memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Highway. A lunch reception will be held following the service in the cafeteria.
