Mrs. Spencer was born June 10, 1968 in Monroe, La and passed from this life on November 26, 2015 in Stonewall, La at the age of 47.
Kathy was the wife that all men dream of having. She devoted her life to pleasing her husband, children and grandchildren on a daily basis. She was kind and full of warmth and beauty. She put everyone’s feelings and desires ahead of her own. She was beautiful inside and out. She was the most amazing sister. She saw the very best in everyone, even when nobody else could see it. Her heart was so big, just like our mama. She always made sure I knew how much she loved me and how proud she was of me. She encouraged everyone she came in contact with. She was an angel when she was alive, and now she is an angel in Heaven. Momma Kathy was the most colorful woman alive. Her personality was so bright. She was a mother to everyone, even if they were not her children. I can honestly say I was never loved by anyone as much as she loved me. It was so unbelievable to think I was loved like that. When I needed love, guidance, or someone to joke and play and laugh with, she was there for me. Always. My mama was the most amazing woman I have ever met. A lot of people say that about their mother but she was unbelievable. She loved every single person unconditionally, even if she had just met them. She was the best Meme to my children. My mama was my world and always will be.
She is preceded in death by her son, Zachary Spencer; her parents, Bruce and Minnie Hennigan; one sister, Amy Hennigan; her nephews, Dustin and Timmy Woods.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Spencer of Stonewall, La; her children, Shelly Spencer (Jessie Dean), John Hunter Spencer, Carrie Spencer (Shelby Snyder); siblings, Debbie Hennigan Woods (Jason Fain); two grandchildren, Kensleigh Spencer and Nelliel Dean; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Dean, Shelby Snyder, John Hunter Spencer, Jason Fain, J.C. Carroll, James Michael Vogt, Sean Spencer, Scott Spencer, Dwayne Walker and Trevor Ebarb.
