Matthew “Matt” Wood, 37, St. Joseph, Mo., passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015 in the arms of his heavenly father.
He was born June 30, 1978 in St. Joseph, Mo.
He was a Central High School class of 1997 graduate. After high school he moved to Colorado for two years.
He was employed for over 12 years at Altec.
Matt enjoyed spending time with family. He enjoyed deer hunting with family and friends and fishing at different family ponds. He loved camping, barbecue and smoking meats. His favorite thing was watching his kids compete in softball and football.
Matt was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carl and Velma Matthias, and paternal grandparents, Robert and Helen Wood.
Survivors include his daughter Chyann, son Ethan Curtis, parents Gwen and Joseph Wood, mother of his children Treasa Wood, aunts and uncles Karlyn (Lee), Moe (Bridget), Walter (Kim), Lorri (Mike) and Barbara (Heidi), cousins Michael, Brian, Josh, Erica, Adam, Adrienne, Jonathan, Brad, Wendy, and Katie.
