Clarence Edward Shifflett, 69, of Elkton, passed away at Rockingham Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 27, 2015. He was born on November 19, 1946 to the late George and Nina Shifflett.
Clarence served a term in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and worked for over 30 years as a mechanical supervisor at UVA before his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Fitzgerald; and his son, Scott Shifflett.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia Shifflett; two nieces and one nephew.
The family would like to thank the Harrisonburg Health and Rehab Center, Sentara, and Devita Dialysis Center for their support during his illness.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Holly Memorial Gardens.
