Carol C. Christy, 72, of Aurora, NY, died Friday November 27, 2015 at Matthew House, Auburn, NY. Mrs. Christy was born in Silver Creek, NY, the daughter of late DeLial and Blanche Kreitler Cross and has resided in Aurora since 2004. Prior to that she lived in Philadelphia, PA, Rochester, NY, and Dunkirk, NY Mrs. Christy was employed as an insurance representative with various insurance companies located throughout New York and Pennsylvania. She retired several years ago. She was a member of the Church of the United Ministry, of Aurora., NY Surviving are: Her beloved husband, Stewart J. "Pete" Christy of Aurora, NY; four sons, Phillip J. Latona and his wife, Lisa Clemens-Latona of Atlantis, FL, Scott W. Latona and his wife, Janie Basink Latona of Oxford, CT, Richard D. Latona and his wife Marlene Kapuzt Latona of Hamburg, NY, Stewart E. Christy and his wife, Renee French of Hamburg, NY, one Daughter, Amanda E. Christy and her husband, Drew Potratz of Victor, NY, One Sister-in-law: Donna Cross of Van Buren, NY, eight Grandchildren, Joshua A., Vanessa J., Meghan, Jonathan, Jillian, Nicholas Latona, Carson Renowden, and Lucas Potratz, three Great Grandchildren, Lilie, Damian and Dominic. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Christy was predeceased by her brother, Neal Cross who died several years ago. Friends are invited to call from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2015 in the Church of the United Ministry of Aurora, immediately followed by a memorial service which will be held at 4:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fredonia, NY at 1PM on Monday, December 7, 2015.Expressions of sympathy may be made to Matthew House, Inc, 43 Metcalf Drive, Auburn, NY 13021 or to the Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Drive, Auburn, NY 13021 in memory of Carol C.
